Dominick’s List – The Latest!

Earlier this year, we told you about Team Summer kid Dominick, a young boy who is autistic and does not speak. Those social challenges made what he did after he got his Team Summer gift all the more remarkable: He nominated thirteen kids fighting cancer to become Team Summer kids themselves!

Thanks to some generous Team Summer supporters who stepped in to fund these gifts, Dominick was able to get to work right away!

We’ve already shared details about his first four gifts. And now, he’s given four more — Gifts 5-8!

KID #5 – ZEKE

Zeke is 17, from South Carolina, and has leukemia. He also has Down syndrome, which can make staying active a challenge. Dominick gave him a 3‑wheeler adaptive bike for fun and exercise. Zeke rides it every day, and that’s been a total game changer for improving his fitness!

KID #6 – RIPP

Ripp is 6, from Utah, and has neuroblastoma. Dominick got him a trampoline for his backyard, which has brought him hours of joyful outdoor playtime. After so much time in the hospital, sunshine was what Ripp needed the most!

KID #7 – LEVI

Levi is 3, from Massachusetts, and has neuroblastoma. Dominick got him a giant inflatable water slide. Levi is having fun the way every three-year-old should!

KID #8 – HANK

Hank is 7, from Texas, and has neuroblastoma. Dominick got him an electric go‑kart — giving him speed, independence, and a confident smile.

Three more gifts on Dominick’s list are still in progress. With heavy hearts, we also remember two children who passed away shortly after being nominated.

Helping other kids has really made a difference in Dominick’s life. His mother says he lights up every time he gives a gift — and even without words, his joy is unmistakable. Interactions like these are a very big deal for a kid with Dominick’s challenges — and a quiet, powerful reminder of the power of giving.

And the coolest thing about all this? Dominick is creating a whole new group of givers. Each kid he welcomes into the Team Summer circle is now able to give gifts themselves. And that may be Dominick’s greatest gift of all!
