We have launched our second annual Edison E-Bike Giveaway!

All during September — Childhood Cancer Awareness Month — supporters will be raising money for Team Summer. We have a big goal – $35,000! This year, we’re giving away Edison’s newest Model T e-bike (valued at $2,200) to one lucky donor. Built in Atlanta by the remarkable Ryan Hersh, this Edison e-bike is a high-performance ride! It reaches up to 22 mph, has a battery that lasts up to 50 miles, and it’s gorgeous!

So who’s going to win it? Maybe you! For every $50 you donate to Team Summer in September, you’ll receive one entry into the drawing. Donate $100, get two entries. Donate $600, and you’ll fund an entire Team Summer gift for a child with cancer—AND get 12 entries to win the Edison e-bike!

Your generosity will help fund gifts like these:

SYLVAN, age 8, Michigan

Sylvan’s symptoms started in July of 2024 with headaches that would come and go. Initially, the pediatrician thought it could be dehydration and suggested Sylvan drink more water. But the water didn’t seem to help, and the headaches persisted. Then his mom noticed his face starting to droop and rushed him to the ER. An MRI showed what they most dreaded—a brain tumor. He began treatment immediately. Since then, Sylvan has been through 33 difficult rounds of radiation.

One of Sylvan’s passions is making YouTube videos. But long hospital stays made that nearly impossible. Then Team Summer kid Boden nominated Sylvan and knew just the gift that could help—an iPad so Sylvan could keep creating videos even while in the hospital. Sylvan is pretty darn excited about his new gift, if you can’t tell!!

Breckyn, age 7, Nebraska

The day after starting preschool, Breckyn began complaining of back pain and wanting unusually long naps. This was not normal for this very energetic little girl. Concerned, her parents took her to the ER. Bloodwork revealed abnormalities, and a biopsy soon confirmed she had leukemia. Since her diagnosis, Breckyn has spent most of her days either hospitalized or in isolation—not the preschool year anyone imagined.

Team Summer kid Keely, who met Breckyn at a pediatric cancer event, wanted to bring some joy to her life. Together with Team Summer, Keely surprised Breckyn with a HUGE inflatable waterslide! Thanks to this gift, Breckyn has spent her summer splashing and smiling in her own backyard.

Braylan, age 6, Louisiana

When Braylan developed severe back pain in December of 2024, doctors first suspected an injury from playing his favorite sport—basketball. But imaging revealed something far more serious: a rare and aggressive sarcoma. His treatment has been intense, and basketball has had to be put on hold indefinitely.

At the hospital, Braylan met Team Summer kid Elias, and the two boys became fast friends. Elias wanted to bring basketball back into Braylan’s life in a new way. With Team Summer’s help, Elias surprised him with a PS5 and the newest NBA game! Braylan set it up immediately and started playing that very day—finding joy and competition on the virtual court!

Brielle, age 8, Idaho – From Dominick’s Special List

In June 2020, Brielle began having difficulty walking. An MRI revealed multiple tumors. Her bone marrow had been overtaken by cancer. After two years of treatment, she was declared cancer-free in May 2022. Sadly, a little over a year and a half later, the cancer returned, and she has been bravely fighting ever since.

Team Summer kid Dominick surprised Brielle with a trampoline—something she had wanted for so long! Now she can step into her backyard and bounce to her heart’s content, no matter how hard the fight.

We are so proud of these kids and the good they are doing for one another! Every Team Summer gift is funded by tax-deductible donations* from generous supporters like you. And this September, your donation not only brings joy to a child with cancer, it could also win you an Edison e-bike!
